The Indian ministry of ports, delivery and waterways (MoPSW) plans to create product-specific warehouses and silos at numerous ports, multi-modal logistics parks situated close to ports and alongside the nationwide waterways. The aim is to scale back the storage losses, minimise logistics prices and facilitate distribution of cargo within the hinterland.

MoPSW is aiming to develop this infrastructure for merchandise like cement, liquid, chemical compounds, refrigerated objects, digital merchandise, prescribed drugs, auto spares elements and elements.
