Because the Supreme Courtroom is listening to the bail plea of Republic Tv editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami on Wednesday, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has spoken to Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray requesting him to make sure correct safety of Goswami who hails from Assam.
It has been reported that Goswami’s relations met Sonowal and requested him to do the needful for the safety of the journalist. “The Assam chief minister spoke to the Maharashtra chief minister and requested him to make sure safety of Goswami,” an official stated.
Thackeray assured Sonowal that he would do the needful for the safety of Goswami.
Later, in a tweet, Sonowal stated, “Talked to Maharashtra CM Shri Uddhav Thackeray ji and requested him for ample safety preparations for famend journalist Arnab Goswami. I talked to him as Mr. Goswami’s relations approached me and intimated that there’s not sufficient safety offered to him.”
