The Election Fee has revoked the standing of “star campaigner” given to Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath for what it termed as repeated violations of its code of conduct.
In an order issued on Friday, the Fee mentioned: “For repeated violation of Mannequin Code of Conduct and for fully disregarding the advisory issued to him, the Fee hereby revokes the standing of chief of political get together (Star Campaigner) of Kamal Nath, Ex-Chief Minister, Madhya Pradesh, with instant impact for the present Bye-elections of Legislative Meeting of Madhya Pradesh.”
It mentioned no permission might be granted by authorities to Kamal Nath as a star campaigner.
