Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took a dig on the Uttar Pradesh authorities on Sunday over media studies which claimed that a BJP MLA and his son allegedly took away a person accused of harassing a lady from police custody, referring to it because the ‘save criminals’ mission of the state dispensation.

Together with their tweets attacking the federal government, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi tagged media studies which claimed that the BJP MLA, his son and supporters allegedly took away a person accused of harassing a lady from police custody on Saturday.
“The way it began: ‘Beti bachao’ (save daughters). The way it’s going: ‘Apradhi bachao’ (save criminals)’,” Rahul Gandhi tweeted.
Tagging a media report on the incident, Priyanka Gandhi mentioned in a tweet in Hindi, “Will the UP CM inform that that is taking place below which ‘mission’? ‘Beti bachao’ (Save daughters) or ‘Apradhi bachao’ (save criminals)’?”

The Congress has been attacking the UP authorities over the difficulty of alleged rise in crimes in opposition to girls, notably after the Hathras incident through which a 19-year-old Dalit girl from the district was allegedly raped and attacked by 4 males. She later succumbed to accidents at a Delhi hospital.
The Yogi Adityanath authorities is combating extreme criticism for its dealing with of the Hathras case, notably after the native police cremated the lady at night time allegedly with out the household’s approval.
Nevertheless, officers mentioned the cremation was finished “as per the desires of the household”. The probe within the case has been taken over by the CBI. PTI
