Blast at fuel energy plant in Bengaluru, 15 injured : The Tribune India

A “minor” explosion was reported at a 370 MW fuel energy plant of the state-run Karnataka Energy Company Ltd in Bengaluru early on Friday, leaving 15 individuals injured, together with two critically, an official mentioned.

Talking to IANS, District Hearth officer, Kishore, mentioned that they obtained a name from the plant at three.30 am, and firefighters rushed to the spot.

“4 hearth tenders, two water pumps and two one foam tender had been rushed to the spot. The Rail Wheel Manufacturing facility had instantly rushed one foam tender from its facet, however we didn’t use it,” he mentioned.

Kishore mentioned that the division used foam tender to extinguish the hearth.
