India on Wednesday efficiently test-fired the supersonic cruise missile BrahMos having a variety of round 400 km, officers stated.
The BrahMos cruise missile travels at a velocity of Mach 2.eight, almost thrice that of sound.
The test-firing of the missile was carried out by the Defence Analysis and Improvement Organisation (DRDO) off the coast of Balasore in Odisha, the officers stated.
BrahMos Aerospace, an India-Russian three way partnership, produces the supersonic cruise missile that may be launched from submarines, ships, plane, or from land platforms. PTI
