The Delhi Police on Tuesday mentioned it has arrested Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) president Brinder Singh Dhillon and three others in reference to the tractor-burning incident close to India Gate on Monday morning.
In an official assertion the police mentioned the Congress’ youth wing activists on Monday morning set a tractor ablaze close to India Gate, just a few hundred metres away from the Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament, to protest the contentious farm legal guidelines, which have been handed by Parliament and the President gave his assent lately.
The police mentioned, in addition to six of the PYC activists have been arrested on Monday and seizure of two automobiles in reference to the case Dhillon together with three others has been arrested as we speak within the case.
Others who’ve been arrested within the case embrace Harish Panwar and Abraham Roy Mani, Nationwide Common Secretaries of All India Youth Congress (AIYC), and Buntry (Rushikesh) Shelke, Secretary, AIYC in-charge of PYC.
Police had mentioned that round 20 folks carried a tractor on a truck to Rajpath, Man Singh Crossing, unloaded it from the truck and set it on fireplace.
In keeping with police sources, the PYC activists entered Lutyens’ Delhi together with a Punjab Police automobile.
