Farmer protest: Railways cancels 14 trains on September 27 : The Tribune India

Preserving in view the present process blockade of railway traces by farmers at a number of locations, the Northern railway’s Ferozepur division has prolonged the cancellation of 14 trains (up and down) for another day on September 27.

Rajesh Aggarwal, Divisional Railway Supervisor (DRM), mentioned the trains which had been cancelled included the Golden Temple Mail Covid-19 Particular from Amritsar to Mumbai Central (02903 and 02904), Amritsar-Kolkata Superfast (02357 and 02358), Karambhumi Covid-19 Particular from Amritsar to New Jalpaiguri (02407 and 02408), Paschim Deluxe Categorical from Amritsar to Mumbai (02925 and 02926), Sachkhand Covid-19 Particular from Amritsar to Nanded (02715 and 02716), Jan Shatabadi Categorical from Amritsar to Haridwar (02053 and 02054), and Shaheed Categorical from Amritsar to Jaynagar (04673 and 04674).

Within the state, railway stations falling on the railway traces from Ludhiana to Ferozepur, additional Bathinda to Fazilka, Jalandhar to Pathankot and Amritsar type Ferozepur division will probably be affected.

He added that as a precautionary transfer and to save lots of harassment to the passengers it was determined to cancel departure of all trains.

In addition to, all incoming trains will probably be dealt with at Ambala, Saharanpur, Moradabad and Chandigarh railway stations.
