A person in his late 20s was prevented from committing suicide by the police in West Bengal’s Nadia district on Monday after he posted a standing on the social media, a senior Kolkata Police official stated.
Fb authorities had contacted the Kolkata Police cyber cell at round 1.30 am on Monday by an electronic mail after noticing a video standing posted by him which confirmed him making an attempt suicide at his residence in Bhimpur, he stated.
A fast enquiry was initiated and a few telephone numbers, which had been used to create the person’s Fb profile had been discovered, the officer stated.

A crew of policemen rushed to the person’s home from Bhimpur police station and took him to a close-by hospital the place he was handled and was later discharged, the official stated.
It was learnt that the younger man was affected by melancholy for the final three years. He had tried suicide on 4 events beforehand, the officer stated. PTI
